Description
A light, airy, lightly sweetened cold foam topping for iced coffee, made with just heavy cream, milk, and vanilla syrup for a silky, stable foam that elevates cold brew drinks.
Ingredients
Heavy whipping cream (2 tablespoons)
2% milk (1 tablespoon)
Homemade vanilla coffee syrup (1 tablespoon)
Instructions
Combine heavy whipping cream, milk, and vanilla syrup in a glass measuring cup.
Ensure the cup is large enough to allow the mixture to double in volume.
Insert a hand frother into the mixture, keeping the tip just below the surface.
Froth at low speed for 10 seconds to begin aerating the mixture.
Increase to high speed and continue frothing for 20–30 seconds until soft peaks form.
Stop immediately when the foam is thick but still pourable.
Fill a tall glass with ice cubes.
Pour cold brew or strongly brewed iced coffee over the ice, leaving 1 inch of space at the top.
Gently spoon the cold foam directly onto the center of the coffee.
Serve immediately without stirring.
Notes
Use a glass measuring cup to monitor the foam texture as it develops.
Keep the frother tip submerged at a 45-degree angle for stable foam.
Chill the cream and milk beforehand for faster frothing and longer-lasting foam.
Do not overfroth—stop when soft peaks are just formed to maintain a pourable consistency.
