Description
A vibrant patriotic smoothie with natural red, white, and blue layers made from pomegranate, banana, blueberries, strawberries, and yogurt. Perfect for Fourth of July celebrations or anytime you want a refreshing, colorful drink.
Ingredients
Blue Layer
4 oz pomegranate juice
1/2 frozen banana
1/2 cup blueberries
1/2 cup ice
1 tbsp honey (optional for vegan option)
White Layer
2 oz orange juice
1/2 cup ice
1/2 cup yogurt
1 frozen banana
Red Layer
2 oz pomegranate juice
1 cup strawberries
1/2 frozen banana
1/2 cup ice
Instructions
Prepare Blue Layer
Blend pomegranate juice, bananas, blueberries, ice, and honey (if using) for 45 seconds until thick.
Pour into glasses and tap to settle. Freeze for at least 10 minutes.
Prepare White Layer
Clean blender, add orange juice, ice, yogurt, and bananas. Blend for 40 seconds until smooth.
Pour white mixture over frozen blue layer. Tap gently to seat. Freeze for 10 minutes.
Prepare Red Layer
Combine pomegranate juice, strawberries, bananas, and ice. Blend for 50 seconds until smooth and pour over chilled white layer. Freeze until ready to serve.
Notes
Use frozen bananas for natural sweetness and thick texture
Frozen blueberries preserve color best
Layers can be adjusted for desired thickness
Coconut yogurt and almond milk make great non-dairy substitutes
