Description
Transform simple flour tortillas into a crispy, buttery, and cheesy garlic treat in just seven minutes. This air fryer recipe is the perfect fast-paced solution for a savory snack, side dish, or accompaniment to pasta and salads, offering a delightful crunch without the lengthy prep time of traditional yeast-based breads.
Ingredients
2 flour tortillas (soft taco size)
2 tablespoons softened butter
1/2 cup shredded low-moisture mozzarella cheese
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
Instructions
Spread the softened butter evenly across one side of both flour tortillas.
Arrange the shredded mozzarella cheese across the buttered surface of both tortillas.
Sprinkle the garlic powder and Italian seasoning evenly over the cheese on both tortillas.
Stack the two loaded tortillas on top of each other to create a double-layered bread.
Preheat the air fryer to 375°F.
Place the stacked tortillas into the air fryer basket.
Cook for 5 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and the tortilla edges are golden brown and crispy.
Notes
Monitor the tortillas closely during the last two minutes of cooking to prevent burning, as air fryers vary in intensity. Serve warm for the best texture contrast.
