Ingredients
93% lean ground turkey, 1 1/3 pounds
Yellow onion, 1/2 medium (grated and moisture squeezed)
Garlic, 2 cloves
Mayonnaise, 2 tbsp (or Greek yogurt)
Worcestershire sauce, 2 tbsp (vegetarian version if needed)
Kosher salt, 1 1/2 tsp (adjust to taste)
Instructions
Line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Grate the onion using a box mixer technique, then blot excess moisture with paper towels
Combine all ingredients in a bowl. Mix only until incorporated to avoid toughness
Divide into 4 equal portions. Shape into 1-inch thick patties with a thumb indentation. Chill for 20 minutes
Preheat grill to 450°F. Oil the grates to prevent sticking
Grill 6-7 minutes per side. Add cheese to the last 2 minutes if desired. Verify 165°F internal temperature
