Description
A sweet and spicy homemade lemonade combining ripe peaches, fresh ginger, and zesty lemon juice. Enhanced with fizzy lemon lime soda, this easy-to-make beverage offers a sophisticated twist on classic summer drinks.
Ingredients
Chopped peaches (about 2 peaches), 1 cup
Fresh ginger, peeled and sliced, 1 inch
Brown sugar, 2/3 cup
Water, 1 cup
Fresh squeezed lemon juice (from 5 lemons), 1 cup
Lemon lime soda, 2 cups
Ice, as needed
Peach slices for garnish, as needed
Instructions
Combine the chopped peaches, sliced ginger, brown sugar, and water in a medium saucepan over medium-high heat.
Simmer the mixture for five minutes, stirring occasionally, until the peaches soften and the sugar dissolves.
Remove the saucepan from the heat and let the syrup cool for 15 minutes at room temperature.
Transfer the peach ginger mixture to a blender and blend until very smooth, about 30 seconds.
Strain the liquid through a fine mesh sieve into a large pitcher to remove pulp.
Stir in the fresh lemon juice and refrigerate for 30 minutes to chill.
Just before serving, add 2 cups of lemon lime soda and stir gently.
Pour over ice in glasses and garnish with peach slices.
Notes
Use ripe, juicy peaches for maximum flavor; frozen peaches work if thawed.
Adjust ginger to taste—add more for a bolder kick.
Coconut sugar or honey can replace brown sugar for alternative sweetness.
Club soda or sparkling water are low-calorie substitutes for lemon lime soda.
Serve immediately or store refrigerated for up to 24 hours.
