Description
Capture the essence of summer with this crisp, naturally sweet homemade grape soda. By using pure Concord grape juice and premium sparkling water, this recipe sidesteps artificial additives for a sophisticated, refreshing drink. A hint of fresh lemon juice cuts through the natural sweetness of the grapes, creating a vibrant and balanced beverage that is the perfect cooling treat for any hot afternoon.
Ingredients
1 cup 100% Concord grape juice
1 cup well-chilled sparkling water
1–2 tbsp freshly squeezed lemon juice
1–2 tsp sugar or honey (optional)
Ice cubes (to taste)
Optional garnish: fresh grapes, thin lemon slice, or mint sprig
Instructions
Pour the grape juice and fresh lemon juice into a chilled glass or a small mixing pitcher.
Stir the liquid components vigorously until they are thoroughly combined.
Add your choice of sugar or honey if desired and mix until completely dissolved.
Fill a serving glass with fresh ice cubes.
Pour the chilled sparkling water slowly over the juice base to preserve carbonation.
Top with fresh grapes, a lemon slice, or mint if desired.
Serve immediately while the carbonation is at its peak.
Notes
Always use extremely cold sparkling water to keep the drink crisp. If you prefer a more intense grape flavor, you can reduce the amount of sparkling water or freeze some grape juice into ice cubes so the drink does not get watery as the ice melts.
