Description
Crispy and spicy bite-sized appetizers with a cheesy and flavorful center. Made with chicken, cheddar cheese, and buffalo sauce, and baked using biscuit dough in an air fryer, these game day treats are easy and delicious.
Ingredients
1 1/2 cups shredded cooked chicken (rotisserie or leftover chicken)
1/3 cup buffalo (wing) sauce (halal-certified or homemade with hot sauce and butter)
1/3 cup shredded cheddar cheese (can substitute with mozzarella or pepper jack)
2 tablespoons cream cheese, room temperature
1 tablespoon sour cream or Greek yogurt
1 can refrigerated biscuit dough (8 count, such as Pillsbury)
1/4 cup melted unsalted butter
1 1/2 teaspoons ranch seasoning
Ranch or blue cheese dressing (halal-certified or homemade), for serving
Instructions
Combine the shredded chicken, buffalo sauce, cheddar cheese, cream cheese, and sour cream in a mixing bowl.
Stir until the ingredients are evenly incorporated and the mixture is thick and cohesive.
Open the can of refrigerated biscuit dough.
Separate each biscuit in half horizontally to make 16 thin, round pieces.
Spoon a heaping tablespoon of the chicken mixture onto each dough half.
Fold the dough over the filling to create a half-moon shape and press the edges firmly to seal.
Place the bombs in a single layer in the air fryer basket.
Brush melted butter over the top of each bomb, then sprinkle with ranch seasoning.
Air fry at 375°F (190°C) for 6 minutes or until golden and crispy.
Serve hot with ranch or blue cheese dressing.
Notes
Ensure the buffalo sauce is halal-certified or homemade using halal ingredients.
For a non-dairy version, substitute cheddar cheese with a vegan alternative and use dairy-free sour cream or yogurt.
These can also be baked in a preheated oven at 375°F (190°C) for 12–15 minutes for the same golden-brown result.
Store leftovers in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 2 hours or refrigerate for up to 24 hours.
