  • 23 tablespoons milk

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and line an 8½ x 4½-inch loaf pan with parchment paper.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, beat butter, sugar, and vanilla extract together until light and fluffy, about 8 minutes.
  3. Add eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition and scraping down the sides of the bowl.
  4. Reduce the mixer speed to low and add the flour gradually. Mix until just combined, then fold with a spatula until smooth.
  5. Pour the batter into the prepared pan, smooth the top, and bake for 60–70 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
  6. Cool the cake in the pan for 15 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
  7. Prepare the glaze by whisking melted butter, powdered sugar, vanilla, and milk until smooth. Drizzle over the cooled cake.
