Description

Indulge in the rich, caramel-like sweetness of Starbucks Brown Sugar Syrup right from your kitchen. This easy-to-make syrup adds a comforting touch of cinnamon and deep molasses flavor to your favorite beverages, making it a perfect addition to your coffee, tea, or baking recipes.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup light brown sugar
  • 1 cup water
  • 2 cinnamon sticks

Instructions

  1. Combine Ingredients: In a medium saucepan, mix together the brown sugar, water, and cinnamon sticks.
  2. Heat Mixture: Place the saucepan over medium heat. Stir continuously until the sugar completely dissolves.
  3. Simmer: Once the sugar dissolves, reduce the heat to low and let the mixture simmer for about 5-7 minutes. The syrup should thicken slightly.
  4. Cool and Store: Remove from heat and allow the syrup to cool. Once cooled, remove the cinnamon sticks. Transfer the syrup to an airtight container or bottle.

Notes

  • For a vegan version, use coconut sugar instead of brown sugar.
  • The syrup can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 2 weeks.
  • If you prefer a thinner syrup, reduce the simmering time.
