Instructions
- Juice fresh lemons until you have about 1 cup of lemon juice. Strain to remove seeds and pulp.
- In a saucepan, combine 1 cup of water with the sugar. Heat over medium and stir until the sugar is completely dissolved to create a simple syrup. Let it cool slightly.
- In a large pitcher, combine the lemon juice, cooled simple syrup, remaining 4 cups of cold water, and rose water. Stir well.
- Taste and adjust the rose water or lemon juice to balance floral and citrus notes to your preference.
- Chill in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes before serving.
- Serve over ice and garnish with rose petals and mint leaves if desired. For a sparkling version, mix in sparkling water just before serving.

- Start with less rose water and increase gradually—its flavor can be overpowering.
