Description

Puff Pastry Christmas Tree Pizza Bites are festive, flaky mini pizzas shaped like Christmas trees. Made with puff pastry, tomato sauce, and melted mozzarella, these bite-sized appetizers are perfect for holiday parties or cozy family gatherings. Quick to prepare and easy to customize, they bring a fun, flavorful twist to traditional holiday snacks.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 rectangular roll Puff Pastry – provides a light, flaky base
  • 1/2 cup Tomato Passata – gives rich pizza flavor
  • 1/2 tablespoon Extra Virgin Olive Oil – enhances taste and texture
  • 1/2 teaspoon Salt – balances flavor
  • 1/8 teaspoon Dried Oregano (optional) – adds Italian aroma
  • 1 Mozzarella Ball – creates gooey, melty topping
  • Mini Pepperoni or Vegetables (optional) – adds festive color and extra flavor

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (180°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Unroll the puff pastry sheet and cut out Christmas tree shapes using a cookie cutter. Remove excess pastry and arrange trees on the sheet.
  3. In a small bowl, mix tomato passata with olive oil, salt, and oregano to create the pizza sauce.
  4. Spread a thin layer of sauce over each pastry tree using a spoon.
  5. Top each with shredded mozzarella and mini pepperoni or your preferred toppings.
  6. Bake on the lower oven rack for about 15 minutes or until the pastry is golden and cheese is bubbly.
  7. Serve immediately while warm and flaky.

Notes

  • Thaw puff pastry overnight in the fridge for best results.
  • Assemble the pizza bites ahead and freeze unbaked for up to 3 months.
  • Bake from frozen by adding 3–5 minutes to the baking time.
  • Avoid using too much sauce to prevent sogginess.
  • Store leftovers in an airtight container and reheat at 375°F (190°C) for 5–10 minutes.
