Ingredients
Scale
- 12 oz. can evaporated milk: adds richness and body
- 12 oz. white chocolate chips: creates a creamy, sweet base
- 2 cups half and half: enhances the creamy texture
- 2 cups whole milk: balances the richness
- Few drops red food coloring: gives the signature pink color
- Whipped cream: light and airy topping
- Sprinkles or mini marshmallows: adds a festive finish
Instructions
- In a medium saucepan over low heat, melt the white chocolate chips with the evaporated milk. Stir continuously until smooth.
- Add the whole milk and half and half, whisking to combine and ensure a silky consistency.
- Heat the mixture gently over low-medium heat, stirring every couple of minutes. Do not boil.
- Add red food coloring one drop at a time until the desired pink hue is reached.
- Remove from heat or reduce to a simmer to keep warm until serving.
- Pour into mugs or jars and top with whipped cream, marshmallows, and sprinkles as desired.
Notes
- You can substitute 2% milk, but it will be less creamy.
- White chocolate bars can be used in place of chips; just chop them finely.
- Store leftovers in the fridge for up to 3 days and reheat gently.
- Try natural coloring alternatives like beet powder or raspberry juice.
