  • Author: Alice Barry

  • Yield: 10 servings 1x
  • Diet: Vegetarian

Description

This No-Bake Oreo Peppermint Pie features a creamy peppermint cheesecake filling layered over a chocolatey Oreo crust, all topped with festive peppermint candy pieces. Perfect for the holidays, this easy dessert requires no oven time and can be made ahead for a stress-free celebration.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 bag (10 oz) Hershey’s Candy Cane Kisses, unwrapped and chopped, divided
  • 18 Oreo cookies, crushed (use regular, not double-stuffed)
  • 1/4 cup (57g) unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 cup (240mL) heavy whipping cream
  • 8 oz (227g) full-fat cream cheese, softened to room temperature
  • 1 cup (120g) powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 teaspoon peppermint extract
  • Red gel food coloring (optional, for a festive pink hue)

Instructions

  1. Place crushed Oreos and 1/4 cup chopped peppermint Kisses in a mixing bowl. Add melted butter and stir until evenly combined.
  2. Press the crust mixture into the bottom of a 9-inch springform pan or pie dish. Chill in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes.
  3. In a separate bowl, beat heavy cream until stiff peaks form (3–4 minutes). Set aside in the refrigerator.
  4. In another large bowl, beat cream cheese until smooth. Add powdered sugar, vanilla extract, peppermint extract, and food coloring (if using). Beat until fully combined and creamy.
  5. Gently fold whipped cream into the cream cheese mixture until no streaks remain. Stir in 2/3 cup of chopped peppermint Kisses.
  6. Spread the filling evenly over the chilled Oreo crust and smooth the top with an offset spatula.
  7. Sprinkle the remaining chopped Kisses over the top. Cover and refrigerate for at least 4 hours, or overnight for best results.
  8. Slice, serve, and enjoy chilled. Add whipped cream or mini candy canes for garnish if desired.

Notes

  • Do not use crushed candy canes inside the filling—they dissolve and make the texture runny.
  • Use peppermint extract, not mint extract, for authentic candy cane flavor.
  • The pie can be made up to 2 days in advance or frozen for up to 2 months.
  • Whip cream to stiff peaks for the best texture and stability.
  • Use gel food coloring for vibrant pink color with minimal moisture.
