Description
These Make-Ahead Breakfast Sliders are the perfect solution for busy mornings. Made with fluffy scrambled eggs, savory sausage, and melted cheese layered on soft Hawaiian rolls, they’re baked to golden perfection and can be prepared ahead of time for easy meal prep or feeding a crowd.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 package Hawaiian rolls (12 count): soft, slightly sweet base for the sliders
- 8 large eggs: provide protein and a fluffy texture
- 1/4 cup milk: adds creaminess and helps eggs cook evenly
- 1 pound breakfast sausage: savory filling that balances the sweetness of the rolls
- 1 1/2 cups shredded cheddar cheese: melts perfectly for a gooey layer
- 2 tablespoons butter, melted: brushed on top for golden color and flavor
- 1 tablespoon maple syrup: adds a touch of sweetness to the buttery topping
- 1 tablespoon everything bagel seasoning: adds crunch and flavor on top
- Salt and pepper to taste: enhances overall flavor
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
- Whisk eggs, milk, salt, and pepper together. Scramble in a skillet until just set; do not overcook.
- Cook the breakfast sausage in a separate pan until browned, then drain excess grease.
- Slice the Hawaiian rolls horizontally, keeping the top and bottom halves intact. Place the bottom half in the prepared dish.
- Layer the sausage evenly over the rolls, followed by the scrambled eggs and shredded cheese.
- Top with the other half of the rolls.
- Mix melted butter and maple syrup, then brush over the tops of the rolls. Sprinkle everything bagel seasoning evenly.
- Cover with foil and bake for 20 minutes. Remove foil and bake an additional 5–10 minutes, until golden brown.
- Allow to cool slightly before cutting into individual sliders. Serve warm or store for later.
Notes
- Don’t overcook the eggs — they’ll finish cooking in the oven.
- For a vegetarian option, substitute sausage with sautéed vegetables or plant-based meat.
- To freeze, wrap cooled sliders tightly in foil and freeze for up to 3 months.
- Reheat from frozen at 350°F for 20–25 minutes for best results.
- Make the sliders a day ahead and bake fresh in the morning for a quick breakfast.
