  • 1 pound fresh salmon, cut into 4 pieces
  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Flour, for dredging
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 1/2 cup chicken broth or dry white wine
  • 1 tablespoon freshly squeezed lemon juice
  • 1/4 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Cut the salmon into 4 even pieces and season with garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Lightly dredge each piece in flour.
  2. In a skillet over medium-high heat, heat the olive oil and butter. Add the salmon and cook for 3–4 minutes per side until browned but not fully cooked. Remove and set aside.
  3. In the same pan, add chicken broth, lemon juice, Italian seasoning, and Dijon mustard. Stir to combine and let simmer for 1–2 minutes.
  4. Add the heavy cream and stir. Return the salmon to the skillet and simmer for a few more minutes until the sauce thickens and the salmon is fully cooked.
  5. Garnish with chopped parsley and serve immediately.

  • Don’t overcook the salmon; it will continue to cook in the sauce.
  • Use fresh lemon juice for best flavor.
  • Heavy cream is preferred over milk to prevent sauce separation.
