Description

Jeff Mauro’s White Chocolate Confetti Christmas Cookies are festive, buttery treats filled with colorful sprinkles and drizzled with creamy white chocolate. Perfect for the holidays, these cookies bring together a chewy texture, sweet flavor, and cheerful appearance that make them ideal for gifting or serving at Christmas parties.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 3/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon kosher salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 2 sticks (1 cup) unsalted butter, at room temperature
  • 1 1/2 cups granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 large egg
  • 2 tablespoons plus 1 teaspoon half-and-half
  • 1/2 cup red and green sprinkles
  • 1 2/3 cups white chocolate chips (divided)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C) and line two baking sheets with parchment paper.
  2. In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, salt, and baking powder.
  3. In a stand mixer or large bowl, cream the butter for 1 minute. Add sugar and continue mixing for 3 minutes until light and fluffy.
  4. Beat in vanilla extract and egg until well combined.
  5. Gradually mix in dry ingredients, then add half-and-half to create a soft but not sticky dough.
  6. Fold in sprinkles and 2/3 cup of the white chocolate chips until evenly distributed.
  7. Roll rounded teaspoons of dough into balls and place on prepared baking sheets. Flatten slightly with fingertips dipped in half-and-half.
  8. Bake for 12–15 minutes or until lightly golden around the edges. Transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
  9. Repeat with remaining dough, ensuring baking sheets cool between batches.
  10. Melt remaining white chocolate chips in a microwave-safe bowl for 1 minute, stirring halfway. Drizzle over cooled cookies and let set for 30 minutes before serving.

Notes

  • Chill dough for 20–30 minutes before baking to prevent over-spreading.
  • Adjust baking time based on oven performance — check at 10 minutes for a softer cookie.
  • Store in an airtight container for up to one week at room temperature.
  • Use festive sprinkles or peppermint bits for variation.
  • Allow cookies to cool completely before drizzling white chocolate for the best presentation.
