- 1 1/4 to 1 1/2 pounds chicken tenders
- Kosher salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste
- 2 tablespoons extra-virgin olive oil, divided
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/3 cup apple cider vinegar
- 1/3 cup hot honey
- 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
- 2 thinly sliced green onions, for serving (optional)
Instructions
- Pat the chicken tenders dry with a paper towel and season with salt and pepper.
- Heat 1 tablespoon of olive oil in a large nonstick skillet over medium heat. Add the chicken and cook until golden brown on the bottom, about 4 minutes. Flip and cook for another 3 to 4 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F. Transfer to a plate and tent with foil.
- Add the remaining tablespoon of olive oil and minced garlic to the same skillet. Sauté for 30 seconds until fragrant.
- Pour in the apple cider vinegar and hot honey, then bring to a low boil over medium-high heat. Reduce heat and simmer for 5–8 minutes until the sauce thickens slightly.
- Stir in Worcestershire sauce and return the chicken to the skillet. Spoon the glaze over the chicken to coat evenly.
- Garnish with sliced green onions and serve hot with your favorite sides.
Notes
- To make homemade hot honey, simmer 1/2 cup honey with 1 teaspoon crushed red pepper for 10 minutes, then strain and cool.
- Adjust spice level by increasing or decreasing the crushed red pepper or hot honey amount.
- Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 4 days.
- Reheat gently in a skillet to maintain the glaze’s texture.
