  • 3 ripe avocados: creamy base of the guacamole
  • 1 lime, juiced: adds tanginess and prevents browning

  • 1/2 cup diced red onion: adds crunch and sharpness
  • 2 Roma tomatoes, diced: for juiciness and mild sweetness
  • 3 tablespoons chopped cilantro: herby and citrusy flavor
  • 1 jalapeño, seeded and minced (optional): adds a spicy kick

Instructions

  1. Cut avocados in half, remove the pits, and scoop the flesh into a bowl.
  2. Mash the avocado using a fork or masher to your desired consistency.
  3. Add lime juice and salt. Mix gently.
  4. Fold in red onion, tomatoes, jalapeño (if using), and cilantro.
  5. Taste and adjust seasoning with more lime or salt if needed.
  6. Serve immediately or cover with plastic wrap touching the surface and refrigerate.
