Description

  • 1 ½ cups granulated sugar

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a heart-shaped cake pan.
  2. In a large bowl, cream together the butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
  3. Beat in the eggs one at a time, then stir in the vanilla extract.
  4. Combine the flour, baking powder, and salt; gradually add to the creamed mixture alternately with milk.
  5. If using, add food coloring and mix until you achieve the desired color.
  6. Pour the batter into the prepared pan.
