- 1 cup powdered sugar
- 3 tbsp eggnog
- ¼ tsp cinnamon
- ¼ tsp nutmeg
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line baking sheets with parchment paper.
- In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, salt, cinnamon, and nutmeg. Set aside.
- In a large bowl or stand mixer, cream butter and sugar together until light and fluffy.
- Add eggnog, vanilla, and egg yolks one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
- Gradually mix in the dry ingredients on low speed until just combined. Scrape the bowl as needed.
- Using a cookie scoop, portion out about 2 tablespoons of dough for each cookie and place on baking sheets, leaving 4 inches between each.
- Bake for 11–12 minutes or until edges are set and the centers look dry.
- Cool cookies on the baking tray for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
- While cooling, prepare the glaze by whisking powdered sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, eggnog, and vanilla together until smooth and drizzle consistency.
- Drizzle the glaze over cooled cookies and allow to set before serving.
Notes
- No chill time is needed, but you can chill the dough if making ahead.
- Measure flour accurately for best texture.

- For added flavor, mix a bit of rum or rum extract into the dough.
- Store in an airtight container for up to 5 days or freeze unglazed cookies for longer storage.
