Description
This Easy Tiramisu is a creamy no-bake Italian dessert made with coffee-soaked ladyfingers, mascarpone cream, and cocoa powder. It’s simple, elegant, and perfect for entertaining or an everyday indulgence.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 1/2 cups heavy whipping cream (360 ml)
- 8 oz mascarpone cheese, room temperature (225 g)
- 1/3 cup granulated sugar (67 g)
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract (5 ml)
- 1 1/2 cups cold espresso (360 ml)
- 3 tablespoons coffee-flavored liqueur, optional (45 ml)
- 1 package ladyfingers (about 24 cookies, Savoiardi brand preferred)
- Cocoa powder, for dusting
Instructions
- In a mixing bowl, beat heavy whipping cream with sugar and vanilla until stiff peaks form.
- Gently fold in mascarpone cheese until smooth and combined. Set aside.
- Pour espresso and liqueur (if using) into a shallow dish.
- Quickly dip each ladyfinger on both sides into the coffee mixture without soaking them.
- Arrange dipped ladyfingers in a single layer in an 8×8-inch dish.
- Spread half of the mascarpone cream mixture evenly over the ladyfingers.
- Repeat with a second layer of dipped ladyfingers and the remaining mascarpone cream.
- Dust the top generously with cocoa powder using a fine-mesh strainer.
- Refrigerate for at least 3–4 hours, preferably overnight, before serving.
Notes
- Do not soak ladyfingers too long; a quick dip prevents sogginess.
- Alcohol is optional; tiramisu tastes great with or without it.
- Chill overnight for the best flavor and texture.
- Freeze without cocoa powder for up to 3 months; thaw overnight and dust before serving.
