Description
Cornflake Christmas Wreaths are easy, no-bake holiday cookies made with marshmallows, butter, and crunchy cornflakes, shaped into festive green wreaths and decorated with red candies. They’re a nostalgic favorite perfect for cookie trays, parties, or edible gifts.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1/2 cup butter – adds richness and smoothness
- 1 (10-ounce) package marshmallows – binds ingredients and adds sweetness
- 1 1/4 teaspoons green food coloring – provides festive color
- 4 1/2 cups Cornflake cereal – adds crunch and shape
- Red Hots or mini red M&Ms – decorative ‘berries’ for the wreaths
Instructions
- Melt butter in a large pot over low heat until fully smooth.
- Add marshmallows and stir continuously until completely melted.
- Stir in green food coloring until evenly tinted.
- Remove from heat and quickly fold in cornflakes until well coated.
- Drop spoonfuls of the mixture onto a parchment-lined baking sheet using a greased 1/4 cup measure.
- Shape each mound into a wreath with greased fingers or a spoon handle to form a hole in the center.
- Press Red Hots or M&Ms into the soft mixture before it sets.
- Allow wreaths to cool completely, then store in an airtight container.
Notes
- Work quickly—marshmallow mixture sets fast once combined with cereal.
- Grease utensils and hands to prevent sticking.
- If wreaths are too soft, refrigerate for 15–20 minutes to firm up.
- Can substitute Special K cereal or add almond extract for extra flavor.
- Store at room temperature up to 5 days or freeze up to 3 months.
