Description
A bold, mellow iced coffee made by steeping coarse coffee grounds in cold water for 12–24 hours. This low-acid method yields a rich, silky concentrate with a clean, chocolatey flavor. Customize with milk, sweeteners, or spices for a refreshing coffee drink.
Ingredients
Cold Brew Concentrate, ½ cup, adjust to taste
Cold Water, ½ cup, to dilute the concentrate
Milk or Cream, ¼ cup
Ice Cubes, 1–2 cups
Sweetener (Optional), to taste
Instructions
Start with ½ cup of cold brew coffee concentrate (homebrewed or pre-made)
Fill a tall glass or mason jar with 1–2 cups of ice cubes to the top
Pour ½ cup of cold water over the ice to dilute the concentrate
Add ¼ cup of milk or cream, choosing whole milk for richness or oat milk for creaminess
Stir in sweetener like maple syrup, adjusting to taste (2–4 teaspoons recommended)
Serve immediately in the glass with additional ice if desired
Notes
Use coarse coffee grounds when making concentrate to avoid bitterness
Adjust coffee-to-water ratios (start with 50/50) for desired strength
Chill diluted mixture in the fridge for 30 minutes for a colder drink
Store cold brew concentrate in the fridge for up to 2 weeks for batch preparation
