Ingredients
Scale
- 12 King’s Hawaiian rolls: soft, slightly sweet base for the sliders
- 1 pound cooked chicken tenders: juicy, crispy filling
- 1/2 cup marinara sauce: adds tangy, herby flavor
- 8 slices provolone cheese: creamy and melty cheese layer
- 8 ounces fresh mozzarella cheese, sliced: gooey, rich topping
- 1/4 cup fresh basil, chopped: fresh, aromatic finish
- 1/4 cup butter, melted: base for the garlic butter topping
- 1 teaspoon sea salt: enhances overall flavor
- 3 teaspoons garlic, minced: brings bold aroma and taste
- 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, finely chopped: adds color and herby touch
- 1 tablespoon grated parmesan cheese: deepens the cheesy topping
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Slice Hawaiian rolls in half and place the bottom halves into a greased baking dish.
- Layer 6 slices of provolone cheese evenly on the bottom buns.
- Place cooked chicken tenders on top of the provolone layer.
- Spoon marinara sauce over the chicken tenders.
- Add sliced fresh mozzarella over the sauce, then sprinkle chopped basil.
- Place the top halves of the rolls over the filling.
- In a bowl, mix melted butter, sea salt, minced garlic, parsley, and grated parmesan.
- Brush the butter mixture generously over the tops of the rolls.
- Cover with foil and bake for 20 minutes, until cheese is hot and bubbly.
- Remove foil and bake an additional 5 minutes or until tops are golden brown.
- Remove from oven, slice into individual sliders, and serve warm.
Notes
- Use parchment paper or foil under the sliders for easier cleanup.
- Toast the bottom buns slightly to prevent sogginess if desired.
- Serve with extra marinara sauce on the side for dipping.
- Can be made ahead and baked later—just wait to apply the butter topping before baking.
- Freeze after baking and reheat in the oven to maintain texture.
