Description

These Cheese-Stuffed Air Fryer Burgers – Beef are juicy, cheesy, and ready in just 20 minutes. Each burger patty is filled with melty cheese and cooked perfectly in the air fryer, delivering crisp edges and a gooey center. Ideal for quick, family-friendly meals any night of the week.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb ground beef (90/10 lean): juicy and flavorful base for the burgers
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce: adds savory depth
  • 1 teaspoon salt or garlic salt: enhances the beef’s natural flavor
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper: balances richness
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder: adds mild sweetness and aroma
  • 1 cup shredded cheese (cheddar, gouda, or pepper jack): melty and creamy filling
  • 4 hamburger buns: soft base for assembling
  • Toppings (tomato, lettuce, onion, pickles, ketchup, BBQ sauce): add texture and freshness

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, combine ground beef with Worcestershire sauce, salt, pepper, and onion powder. Mix gently to combine without overworking the meat.
  2. Preheat the air fryer to 360°F (182°C).
  3. Divide the beef mixture into four equal portions. Flatten each into a thin round patty.
  4. Add a spoonful of shredded cheese to the center of each patty, then fold and seal the beef completely around the cheese.
  5. Press the stuffed patties into shape, ensuring the cheese is fully enclosed.
  6. Place the patties in a single layer in the air fryer basket. Cook for 7 minutes.
  7. Flip each patty and cook for another 3–4 minutes, until the internal temperature reaches 160°F (71°C).
  8. Remove from the air fryer and let rest for 2–3 minutes before serving.
  9. Assemble burgers with buns, toppings, and sauces as desired. Serve immediately.

Notes

  • Seal the patties tightly to prevent cheese from leaking during cooking.
  • Use sharp cheddar, gouda, or pepper jack for the best melting texture.
  • Chill patties for 10 minutes before air frying to help them hold shape.
  • For a lighter version, use ground turkey or a plant-based substitute.
  • Reheat leftovers in the air fryer at 360°F for 2 minutes for best results.
  • Freeze cooked or uncooked patties for up to 3 months; thaw before reheating or cooking.
