- 1/2 cup (113g) unsalted butter, melted
- 4 oz (113g) semi-sweet chocolate, chopped
- 3/4 cup (150g) granulated sugar
- 2 large eggs, room temperature
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup (60g) all-purpose flour
- 1/4 cup (25g) unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/3 cup (60g) semi-sweet chocolate chips (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and lightly grease a mini muffin tin or line with mini paper liners.
- Melt the butter and chopped semi-sweet chocolate together in a heatproof bowl over simmering water or in 20-second microwave intervals, stirring until smooth. Let cool slightly.
- In a large bowl, whisk the sugar and eggs together until smooth and slightly lighter in color.
- Stir in the melted chocolate mixture and vanilla extract until fully combined.
- Sift in the flour, cocoa powder, and salt. Gently fold until just combined; do not overmix.
- Fold in chocolate chips if using.
- Spoon the batter into the prepared mini muffin tin, filling each cavity about three-quarters full.
- Bake for 12–15 minutes, or until the edges are set and a toothpick inserted in the center comes out with a few moist crumbs.
- Allow the Brownie Bites to cool in the pan for 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
