Description

  • 1/2 cup (113g) unsalted butter, melted
  • 4 oz (113g) semi-sweet chocolate, chopped
  • 3/4 cup (150g) granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs, room temperature
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup (60g) all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 cup (25g) unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/3 cup (60g) semi-sweet chocolate chips (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and lightly grease a mini muffin tin or line with mini paper liners.
  2. Melt the butter and chopped semi-sweet chocolate together in a heatproof bowl over simmering water or in 20-second microwave intervals, stirring until smooth. Let cool slightly.
  3. In a large bowl, whisk the sugar and eggs together until smooth and slightly lighter in color.
  4. Stir in the melted chocolate mixture and vanilla extract until fully combined.
  5. Sift in the flour, cocoa powder, and salt. Gently fold until just combined; do not overmix.
  6. Fold in chocolate chips if using.
  7. Spoon the batter into the prepared mini muffin tin, filling each cavity about three-quarters full.
  8. Bake for 12–15 minutes, or until the edges are set and a toothpick inserted in the center comes out with a few moist crumbs.
  9. Allow the Brownie Bites to cool in the pan for 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
