  • 1 teaspoon ground mustard
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • ½ teaspoon cumin
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper

Instructions

  1. Trim any excess fat from the chicken legs and pat them dry with paper towels to ensure the skin crisps properly.
  2. Place the chicken legs in a large bowl and drizzle with olive oil. Toss to coat evenly.
  3. In a small bowl, combine brown sugar, salt, garlic powder, onion powder, ground mustard, smoked paprika, cumin, and black pepper. Sprinkle over the chicken and toss until fully coated.
  4. Preheat the air fryer to 400°F (200°C) for 3–5 minutes.
  5. Arrange the chicken legs in a single layer in the air fryer basket, making sure they do not overlap.
  6. Air fry for 20 minutes, flipping halfway through, until the chicken is golden brown and reaches an internal temperature of 165°F (74°C).
  7. Remove the chicken from the air fryer and let it rest for 5 minutes before serving to lock in the juices.
