Ingredients

  • 1 large apple (Fuji or Gala), cored and chopped
  • 1 teaspoon fresh ginger, peeled and sliced
  • 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
  • 1/2 cup cold water (adjust as needed)
  • 1 teaspoon honey (optional)

Instructions

  1. Wash the carrots and apple thoroughly. Peel if desired, then chop into small pieces for easier blending or juicing.
  2. Peel and slice the fresh ginger. Adjust the quantity based on your preferred spice level.
  3. Add carrots, apple, ginger, lemon juice, and water to a high-speed blender. Blend until completely smooth.
  4. Strain the mixture through a fine mesh sieve or cheesecloth into a bowl, pressing to extract all the juice. Skip straining if you prefer more fiber.
  5. Taste and adjust sweetness with honey if needed. Stir well and serve immediately over ice or chilled.

Notes

  • Use sweet apples to avoid adding extra sweetener.
  • For a stronger detox flavor, add a small piece of turmeric root.
  • Store in an airtight glass jar in the refrigerator for up to 24 hours.
